Artist Statement

I took art and photography at Lower Columbia College after I raised my two boys.
I’ve traveled extensively throughout the United States, and some in Asia and Central Asias so my work consists of photos from around the world.
I love the beauty of nature and color in nature.
I like to treat my photographs as a way to express beauty and I like to use different substrates and ways of presentation for those photos.
I work in film and digital both, plus 35mm as well as medium format , finding each to have a feeling all it’s own.

I continue to grow as an artist and am currently studying and working in pastel.
