When I see the mist settling on the grasses and stones of the hollow or hear the sound of the wind and drizzle on my studio windows why is it that I can’t wait to stand and stare in anticipation? They all say that the Sequim area is the “banana belt“, the “blue hole” and all that jazz, but you know that’s not always the case. When I visit a foggy beach what is it that tickles my bones like some sort of a prankster lurking behind a heap driftwood just waiting to lunge out and say “Hey! Wake up! Here I am.”? New to my eyes on the north peninsula are the huge dramatic skys and the ever present atmospheric show of light and oh, how the birds soar in the wind! What fun!
The stage is now set. Every moment is a new opportunity for creativity. The never ending horizon line, the landscapes, the fields….the openness everywhere I look, yet still available are the deep forests and the rivers flowing to the sea. Ahhh. All is well.
I am currently working with two dimensional watercolor/ pastel, acrylic and graphite and three dimensional found objects. Enjoy my web-site and follow the direction of my work and please visit the Blue Whole Gallery. It is a great location to peruse art….pick up a fine art card or two and maybe by a masterpiece!
