Mixed Media Art
I went back to college when I had two young children. In order to help contribute to the family coffers and yet still be home with my kids, I taught preschool out of my home. The children and I explored every medium safe for kids to play in. During naptime, my oldest daughter and I would watch Bob Ross! While the art he created on his shows might not have been “fine art”, his real gift was giving people the confidence to believe they could create art too.
Since my art journey began, I have exhibited in galleries, done commissioned portraits of people and pets, and for a while, I created tiny artist trading cards the size of credit cards. Those tiny art pieces are in homes around the world. What fun that was.
Currently, I am working in mixed media, and am loving pushing my own boundaries.
