As autumn deepens and the days grow shorter, gratitude becomes a powerful light—something we feel, remember, and sometimes must fight to hold onto. Thanksgiving may be on the calendar, but thankfulness itself is something far more personal, complicated, and enduring.
The Olympic Peninsula Authors invite the public to join them for the next Writers Read event, taking place Wednesday, November 12, from 2–3 p.m. at the Blue Whole Gallery.
This month’s theme explores the many faces of gratitude—those small but vivid memories that stay with us, as well as the unexpected sparks of appreciation that break through life’s current uncertainties.
Writers will share short works that reflect what it means to be thankful in real, human ways: tender, humorous, reflective, or surprising. It’s not about holiday clichés—it’s about thankfulness as a story, as a memory, and as a lifeline.
Join us for an hour of connection, inspiration, and community as words warm the space like a hearth fire. Guests are welcome to listen, linger, and enjoy the gallery’s November exhibits after the readings.
