Every month the Blue Whole Gallery hosts an Olympic Peninsula Authors (OPA) Writers Read event. These events provide a unique platform for writers to showcase their work, connect with other writers, and engage with an audience. Our gallery believes that these Writers Read events play a crucial role in fostering a vibrant literary community.
At the heart of Writers Read events is the convergence of creative minds. Writers from diverse backgrounds, genres, and styles come together to share their literary creations. Whether it’s poetry, short stories, storytelling, or excerpts from favorite pieces, these events offer writers an opportunity to showcase their talent while surrounded by our gallery’s art treasures.
The Writers Read events are always free and open to the public. The OPA is an informal writing organization founded in 2017 by Heidi Hansen and Linda B. Myers for poets, novelists, short story writers or anyone with an interest in creating with words.
