I’ve been working with beads for about seven years, though I’ve used art as an outlet for creativity for most of my life. When I discovered just how much I loved beading I knew I’d finally found my calling as an artist. The possibilities with beads are truly endless, there are so many different kinds made with everything from glass and stone to resins and clay. I’m constantly finding different ways to combine them and enjoy incorporating things from nature, like feathers, bone, shells, and fur, into my jewelry and statement pieces. Inspiration comes mainly from nature, living in the Pacific Northwest, and Native culture, history, and lore, all of which I’ve been saturated with from childhood.
