The Blue Whole Gallery invites you to join us for the next Writers Read event with the Olympic Peninsula Authors on Tuesday, October 8, from 2–3 pm. This month’s theme is “Disguises.”
We all wear disguises, whether we recognize them or not. Some are playful, like a costume for Halloween. Others might be practical—like the masks we wore during Covid, changing how we connected with each other. And sometimes, disguises are deeply personal: the ways we hide emotions, shield our vulnerabilities, or craft a different version of ourselves for the world to
see.
Writers will bring these ideas to life through stories, poems, and flash fiction—unmasking truths, exploring hidden identities, and revealing the humor, mystery, and power behind disguises.
Come, listen, and discover what lies behind the masks. You may even leave wondering what disguises you wear yourself.
This Writers Read event is free and the public is always welcome. The Blue Whole Gallery hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Saturday, and 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Sundays.
