It is birding season in Sequim and the Blue Whole Gallery is a great place to go birding! This April, the gallery is proud to display Sydney Adkisson’s Polū, one of the student-crafted bird sculptures for this year’s BirdQuest.
BirdQuest is a free, month-long community scavenger hunt held annually throughout April, encouraging participants to find student-crafter bird sculptures hidden in local businesses and Dungeness Valley locations. Players match sculptures to locations on a game card to win prizes. Game cards are available at all participating locations beginning April 1st, including the Blue Whole Gallery. Match a minimum of 15 sculptures with their locations on the game care, then enter to win the Grand Prize Basket, including treats for bird watchers, Sequim swag, and a one year membership to the Audubon Society.
You also get to vote on your favorite birds. Circle the name of the sculpture when you turn in your game card and the top three vote recipients receive a cash prize!
The game ends at NOON on April 30th. Be sure to turn your game care in to any participating location by then. A list of all participating BirdQuest locations can be found on the Sequim Chamber website here.
