Join us for an afternoon that explores the many shades of love—its sweetness, its ache, its twists and turns—at the next Writers Read event hosted by the Olympic Peninsula Authors. On May 14th, from 2 to 3 PM, the Blue Whole Gallery in downtown Sequim will echo with voices sharing poetry, prose, and song that capture the heart in all its messy, glorious complexity.

This month’s theme is “Thoughts of Love.” Writers will bring to life love in all its forms: romantic poems, nostalgic letters, soulful odes, and even the occasional somebody-done-somebody-wrong song. Expect stories about first crushes, heartbreaks that linger, letters never sent, and the people—past or present—who have shaped these writers’ deepest emotions.

Whether you’re a romantic at heart, a skeptic with a soft spot, or just curious to hear some raw, honest storytelling, this gathering offers something for everyone. Come support local writers and share in an afternoon of connection, reflection, and creative expression.

This Writers Read event is free and the public is welcome. The Blue Whole Gallery hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Saturday.
