Meet our New Artist Scott Endstrasser

Blue Whole Gallery is also pleased to welcome accomplished painter Scott Endstrasser to our community of artists.

Scott’s expressive portraiture explores something we all recognize—the complexity of being human. Working primarily in acrylic, he creates paintings that capture emotion, personality, and the subtle nuances that make each of us unique. His work invites viewers to look beyond the surface and connect with the universal experiences reflected in his subjects.

Scott brings an unusually diverse artistic background to his fine art. A lifelong artist with formal training from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, his creative career has taken him from intimate canvases to some of the most imaginative environments in the entertainment world.

Among his many accomplishments, Scott served as Lead Scenic Artist for Universal Studios Orlando’s Diagon Alley and contributed to window merchandising displays for Planet Hollywood at Disney Springs. His scenic work can also be found in major theme parks throughout Orlando. In addition, he owned his own decorative art company, creating murals, faux finishes, and custom concrete countertops.

Throughout his career, whether creating immersive environments or painting a single portrait, Scott has been interested in storytelling. That theatrical background is evident in his paintings, which often possess a strong narrative quality and invite viewers to wonder about the lives and stories behind the faces they encounter.

Influenced by the masters of portraiture as well as the storytelling power of theatrical design, Scott continues to explore new ways of expressing the human experience. His work is driven by curiosity, craftsmanship, empathy—and, he admits, a quirky sense of humor.

Now based in Sequim with his wife Jennifer, Scott brings a lifetime of artistic experience and exploration to Blue Whole Gallery. His belief in the power of art to create connection is at the heart of his work.
