March Student of the Month: Amelia Garling

At the Blue Whole Gallery, we are proud to celebrate our March Student of the Month, Amelia Garling, a talented young artist from Sequim High School.

Amelia’s passion for creativity shines through in everything she makes. As she shares:

“I love art of all sorts but I especially find a lot of joy and comfort in ceramics, & I am excited to learn from other artists and to keep working with clay!”

There is something timeless and grounding about working with clay — the rhythm of the wheel, the feel of earth in your hands, the patience it takes to shape and refine a piece. For Amelia, ceramics is more than an art form; it’s a place of joy and comfort. Her enthusiasm for learning and growing as an artist reflects the very spirit of our Student of the Month program.

At Blue Whole Gallery, we believe in nurturing emerging artists and providing them with opportunities to share their work with the community. Amelia’s dedication to her craft and her eagerness to learn from fellow artists remind us why supporting young creatives is so important.

We invite you to stop by the gallery during March to celebrate Amelia’s work and to encourage this promising young artist as she continues to explore, experiment, and shape her future — one piece of clay at a time.

Congratulations, Amelia! We are so proud to showcase your talent.
