The Blue Whole Gallery is pleased to recognize Peter Duppenthaler as our June Student of the Month.
Peter is a 76-year-old pottery student at Peninsula College in Port Angeles who has always enjoyed creating with his hands. Through his pottery classes, he has explored a variety of clays, glazes, and firing techniques, discovering new ways to express his creativity.
In addition to pottery, Peter is an avid woodworker and a member of the Driftwood Sculpture Club in Sequim. Working with wood has deepened his appreciation for the natural world, inspiring him through its endless variety of shapes, colors, and textures.
This display features both pottery and wood pieces, reflecting Peter’s passion for craftsmanship and his connection to nature. He hopes visitors will enjoy the work and perhaps be inspired to explore their own creative pursuits.
